Psychology 5.2 Impressions people make on each other

They say first impressions are everything but for some it is not. For example myself most people upon first impression of seeing me think i'm a bitch because of my facial features but those who choose to say hello find a nice, giving, sharing and often too talkative person. So first impressions are not always everything nor are they accurate. Because someone wears all black one can not assume that they are goth or worship the devil or are unruley. Impressions are not always accurate in fact sometimes they are the opposite. Impressions can and often do affect long term relations with people because for instance going to get a job application you are not dressed properly so when you go in for an interview you will be remembered for the way you dressed to come to get the application and that may have a negative affect on your prospect of getting the job.
